Why book a private chef for your party or event?
Take the food, the experience, and the memories to a whole new level
When you’re planning event, there’s a lot to think about. Whether you’re launching your business, celebrating a personal milestone, or going all out for a birthday, the last thing you want is to be in the kitchen all night.
This is where hiring a private chef to look after the catering for your event is essential.
Not only will you be working with a small business, making a sustainable choice, and supporting local producers and suppliers, but you’re simply going to have a much better evening.
You’ll be out on the dancefloor, or chatting with friends, or taking pictures that last a lifetime. All while every part of the prep, cook, and clean-up is taken care off.
More than having a care-free evening, the food itself is going to be the highlight. After all, only a professional chef can cook like a professional chef.
How it works
Every step of hiring a private chef for your event
From enquiry to event, in just six steps
-
Get in touch and tell us all about your event. We’ll confirm availability. Your booking is locked in once you’ve paid the 25% deposit.
-
Paul will design your bespoke menu taking into consideration all your preferences and dietary requirements.
-
Chef Paul Evans collects your ingredients from our trusted suppliers. Paul then begins to prepare your dishes in his professional kitchen at his home in Gloucestershire.
-
On the day of your event Paul packs up everything he’s prepared, as well as all his equipment, and comes to your venue to cook for your guests.
-
Paul perfectly plates each dish, but his job’s not over. He then cleans the kitchen, washes up, and packs everything away.
-
The remaining 75% of the fee is due within 7 days of the event. We’d love to book another event with you in the future.
We can recommend waiting staff, florists, wine merchants, and seating and table hire, and invitation designers through our recommendations page.

Frequently asked questions
Hiring a private chef for your event, everything you need to know
Does the whole table have to eat from the same menu?
Yes. Chef Paul Evans designs a bespoke menu for you, taking into account your, and your guests’, personal preferences and requirements. This menu is approved by you at least two weeks before the dinner party. If any of your guests have specific dietary requirements, Paul will prepare a supplemented dish just for them.
Can I hire you if I live outside of The Cotswolds/Gloucestershire?
Yes, absolutely. Paul caters for dinners and events across the UK. Paul will travel up to 15 miles from Winchcombe, GL54 free of charge. He is more than happy to travel further afield, subject to travelling expenses. We can discuss this at the time of booking.
Do I provide the plates, crockery, and cutlery?
You will need to provide all tableware. We are unable to provide this due to storage and transportation limitations. We can assist you with tableware hire if needed, just let us know when booking. Paul will provide everything he requires to cook your meal, including pots, pans, and knives.
What happens if I want to cancel my event after I’ve paid the deposit?
We understand that things in life can change. If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us as soon as possible and we will work with you to rebook your event. We are unable to return deposits, and if you cancel within one week of your event you may be responsible for the full remaining balance.
How many people can you cook for?
For events, Paul can cater for between 30-100 people. It is essential to hire waiting staff for events. We can assist you with this. Get in touch to discuss your exact requirements.
