Why book a private chef for your dinner party?
Take the food, the experience, and the memories to a whole new level
Getting together with the whole family or a group of old friends doesn’t happen as often as we’d all like. So, when you do finally have a date in the diary, the last thing you want is to spend the whole time in the kitchen, missing out on your guests’ news, memories, and laughs.
Hiring a private chef to look after you and your guests means you’re not only working with a small business, making a sustainable choice, and supporting local producers and suppliers, but you’re simply going to have a much better evening. You get to mingle and chat with your guests while every part of the prep, cook, and clean-up is taken care off.
Beyond stress-free, the food itself is going to be the highlight. Only a professional chef can cook like a professional chef.

The Season Kitchen example dinner party menus
Choose either a Three Course Menu, including homemade bread and butter, or a Gourmet menu, including homemade bread and butter, three canapés per person, an amuse bouche or pre-desert, three courses, and petit fours.
Whichever menu you choose, each dish consists of locally produced, seasonal ingredients.
Paul will create your menu according to your preferences and the food which is in season at the time of your dinner party. Should you require a more luxurious experience and opt for ingredients such as lobster, caviar, beef Wellington, this may affect the overall price of the menu.
Please note: The Season Kitchen can cater for all dietary requirements; however we are unable to cater for guests with airborne allergies. While Paul is both Level 2 & Level 3 Food Safety and Allergens certified, he prepares dishes in a professional kitchen where a range of allergens are present. Cross contamination is absolutely managed, whereas airborne allergens cannot be controlled.
“What a wonderful meal! The whole experience exceeded my expectations.”

The best ingredients, the best locations
The Season Kitchen was established in Gloucestershire for a number of reasons. We have access to a fully fitted out professional kitchen, so it works on a practical level, but we love the Cotswolds for so much more than that. The local suppliers, farmers, and producers across this region are among the best in the UK. We have built strong relationships with experts in their industries, and this means we can bring their excellent seasonal produce directly to your table.

Frequently asked questions
Hiring a private chef, everything you need to know
Does the whole table have to eat from the same menu?
Yes. Chef Paul Evans designs a bespoke menu for you, taking into account your, and your guests’, personal preferences and requirements. This menu is approved by you two weeks before the dinner party. If any of your guests have specific dietary requirements, Paul will prepare a supplemented dish just for them.
Can I hire The Season Kitchen if I live outside of The Cotswolds/ Gloucestershire?
Yes, absolutely. Paul caters for dinners and events across the UK. Paul will travel up to 15 miles from Winchcombe, GL54 free of charge. He is more than happy to travel further afield, subject to travelling expenses. We can discuss this at the time of booking.
Do I provide the plates, crockery, and cutlery?
Yes. As the dinner party is taking place in your home, Paul will use your plates, crockery, and cutlery. Please ensure you have sufficient for all guests and courses. We can assist you with tableware hire if needed, just let us know when booking. Paul will provide everything he requires to cook your meal, including pots, pans, and knives.
What happens if I want to cancel my dinner party after I’ve paid the deposit?
We understand that things in life can change. If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us as soon as possible and we will work with you to rebook your dinner party. We are unable to return deposits, and if you cancel within one week of your dinner party you may be responsible for the full remaining balance.
How many people can you cook for?
For dinner parties, Paul can cater for between 6-20 people. For tables or parties larger than this, Paul can provide other catering options. Get in touch if you want to discuss your requirements. For any event over 16 people, we would advise hiring wait staff. We can assist you with this.
